Best answer

Correct option is (d) 1

Solution:

The general form of the complete quadratic equation is ax²+bx+c=0

Where, Sum of the roots, α+β =-b/a and product of roots, αβ = c/a

Here, the given equation 2x²-kx+4=0

So, the value of a=2, b=-k, c=4, α=2, β=?

αβ = c/a

2β = 4/2

β =2/2

β =1

Hence, the other root is 1.
