Given equation, 2x² + kx + 3=0

Here, a = 2, b = k, c = 3

Now, b² - 4ac = 0

k² - 4 .2.3=0

k² - 24=0

k² =24

k=±√6.4

k=±2√6

The value of k so that the equation 2x² + kx + 3=0 has equal roots is 2√6 or -2√6.
