Our earth is not situated at the centre of the universe. Neither is it stationary. It is smaller in size than the giant planets like Jupitar, Satern and Neptune. The Sun is a middle aged star in our Galaxy. The earth revolves round the sun which also not the centre of the Universe. Even the Galaxy in which the Sun and the Earth are situated is not the centre of the Universe. So, our earth is an insignificant planet and man's position is even worse. Man should not consider himself an all important object of the living world.

However, we should realise that the earth, the environment and resources are very important for us. The earth's atmosphere, the sea and the continents sustain our life, culture and civilisation. As a result various seasons occur. The wind, the rain and clouds affect man's life and culture. The ozone layer and the inosphere protect us from harmful radiation. Water is essential for life and civilisation. The top soil helps us in producing food. The forests and the mountains helps us by providing the necessary atmosphere for life. Most of the natural resources are freely available and renewable. Scarcity of the natural resources are freely available and renewable. Scarcity of the natural resources threatens life.
