Best answer

Solution:

Given equation, 3x²-5x+p=0

Here, a = 3, b = -5, c = p

Now, b² - 4ac = 0

(-5)²- - 4 x 3 x p=0

25 - 12p=0

-12p=-25

p= -25/12

The value of p so that the equation 3x²-5x+p=0 has equal roots is -25/12
